Dreamland is the sixth episode of the sixth season. It was released on 30 October 2009. The team investigates an apparently inexplicable death by some kind of electricity at a decommissioned airbase, finding themselves teamed with an offbeat character from the Pentagon's elusive, even unheard of, Department 44. Elsewhere, David ponders his future and Alan celebrates a birthday.
This was "the Scooby Doo episode", with numerous references, comments, character quirks and story elements paying homage to the classic cartoon series, including the red herring 'government bad guy'.
After Don scoffs at the idea of paranormal forces Nikki calls him "Agent Mulder". Mulder is the believer. It's Scully who's the skeptic.
